3. Physical and Chemical Properties
It鈥檚 ionic cellulose that the appearance is white or slightly yellow flocculent fiber powder or white powder, odorless and tasteless, non-toxic; soluble in cold water or hot water to form a transparent solution that has a certain viscosity; solution is neutralor slightly alkaline, insoluble in an organic solvent such as ethanol, ethyl ether, isopropanol, acetone, but it can be dissolved in 60% ethanol or acetone solution; hygroscopicity, heat and light stability, the viscosity decreases with increasing temperature. The solution is stable range Ph2 to Ph10, below Ph2 a solid precitated, above Ph10 viscosity is reduced.
4. Product Application
CMC has the following advantages for the oil, gas drilling, digging wells and other product:
1).The mud containing CMC enables the borehole wall to form thin firm. The low permeability filter cake, can reduce water loss.
2).Added CMC to slurry can rig low initial gel strength, easily emit gases wrapped inside the mud and debris quickly abandoned in the morass.
3).Drilling mud and other suspended dispersion, having a certain presence added CMC can make it stable and to extend the lifespan.
4).Containing CMC, the mud rarely affected by mildew mold, therefore, not have to maintain a high PH, and also do not have to use preservatives.
5).CMC as drilling mud treatment agent flushing fluid, anti-various soluble salts pollution.
6).Containing CMC, the mud has a good stability, even though the temperature is above 150鈩� able to reduce water loss.
The high viscosity, high degree of subsitution of CMC suitable the smaller density of the mud, low viscosity, high degree of substitution of CMC suitable for the denser of the mud. The selection of CMC depends on the mud types and regions, well depth and different conditions. |
